Assuming you have a git repository that has gotten into an undesired state, there are two ways to get it back to the original state. The first option is to use the "git reset" command with the "--hard" option followed by the commit ID of the desired state. The other option is to use the "git reset" command with just the "--hard" option which will take your repository back to its very last committed state.
